I'm back with Day three of my holiday traditions and today we are talking decorations! This might be my favorite part of the holiday season.
The first year I moved away to college, I purchased a fake tree and a great deal of ornaments. My color scheme was girly and I loved the pinks, purples, and blues. I also bought glass balls in the same colors, high heel ornaments, and lots of silver accents. I have since increased my ornament collection to include ornaments form vacations, gifts, and random things I like. If the ornament has glitter or a funny saying, I will buy it. The rest of my apartment was always decorated as well, I hung lights, garland, a wreath, and various candles and knick knacks for the holiday season. I always thought the apartment was quite festive.
This year I am in a conundrum. All of my decorations, including tree and ornaments, are in Florida. I will greatly miss gracing my living room with a splash of color and a whole bunch of glitter this year. On the bright side, I now live in a city that takes their holidays very seriously. I cannot step down the street without seeing a string of lights or hearing the classic tunes. It really makes shopping and commuting more enjoyable. I am going to do my best over the next few weeks to take some pictures of the decorations around the city that I love.
