This weekend has been full of crazy weather fun! I hung out
with a lot of really great people who are becoming friends (it is really
awesome to have friends in the same city again). I attended a Halloween party
on Friday night. I wore a coat, scarf, and boots. Never in my life has it been
that cold on Halloween. The party was really entertaining and the host made
some super cute snacks for everyone. We had deviled eggs, vampire cupcakes, and
jello shots with gummy body parts inside.
On Saturday, it snowed. I am still in shock a little bit. I
loved how pretty it was and how it made everything suddenly feel like Winter,
but I am not mentally or physically prepared for Winter. I just need a few more
weeks.
Saturday night I went to a bar where 90% of the people were
in costume. I got to witness Buddha dancing with a bumble bee, the entire
general mills cereal collection, a few contestants from the TV show G.U.T.S.,
more than one black swan, and a firefighter is a skirt that would be inappropriate
for sliding down a pole (or would it?).Again, it was a fun night with some
great friends.
Just for the record...the next time I find myself playing a
game of Never Have I Ever, I am going to lose if someone says....
Never Have I ever been on a subway train with a drunk pirate
who was serenading the car while sitting next to Quail man, all while watching
2 people in wheelchairs who were excessively drunk talk to Frogger.
This really happened. On my way home Saturday. It was by far
the most epic subway ride since my move to NYC. Only here. Only this weekend.
I love Halloween weekend.
